We've gathered the stories, songs, art, recipes and nature activities we share with children at our forest preschool and shaped them into a simple seasonal rhythm for your family.
The planning is done for you, so you can spend less time researching and more time connecting with your children and the living Earth.

Kin of the Earth was born from one belief: families thrive when they remember they belong — to themselves, to each other, and to the living Earth. Through nature connection, seasonal guidance, and xxxx, we help families slow down and rediscover the wonder waiting in an ordinary day.

The seasonal guides are being written now.
Join the waitlist and we'll let you know as each one opens.
We're Kathryn and Mariah, co-founders of Kin of the Earth and Wild Beginnings Forest School in Olympia, WA. We've supported hundreds of families in our in-person programs, watching children thrive through daily nature connection, and caregivers find their footing when rooted in the wisdom of the seasons.
As forest preschool teachers and mothers ourselves, we've learned that nature connection isn't built through the biggest adventures — it's built through rhythm and return. A child who visits the same tree every week develops a different kind of knowing than one chasing a new trail every weekend. The relationship comes from returning, again and again.
Kin of the Earth grew out of a simple reality: Wild Beginnings can only hold so many families, and our waitlist kept growing. We built Kin to carry that same work further — nervous-system-aware parent coaching, seasonal rhythm, caregiver support, and community, alongside nature connection — so families anywhere could have what we've spent years building in person.
